Q: Have you always been involved in the IT (Information Technology) business? No, I’ve been in IT for 15 years but prior to than I spent 10 years in the landscaping industry. I jointly owned Bowlam Landscaping and spent many long hours working visiting the nursery. Prior to that I was enlisted in the Australian Navy and during that time received an Admiral’s commendation for Seamanship for assisting the floundering vessel MV Holien off Newcastle harbour. Q: What sort of projects are you currently working on? I’m currently involved in some exciting website development for two new clients which also includes some technical database development. I am also enjoying the High School website development and school intranet all to be networked with the Department of Education and Training. Q: How do you like to relax when you’re not working? There’s nothing better than catching up on some sleep, playing with my Grandaughter Riley, watching a good movie or reading the paper. Typical male things really! Q: Are you ruled by your heart or your head? I am often ruled by my heart but my hip pocket (or my head) keeps me in line. |
Q: Have you always been involved in the IT (Information Technology) business? No, I started my career as a cabinetmaker but once I completed my trade I became bored with the job I was working in. I needed more of a challenge and I had always been interested in working with computers so the move from my trade to technology began in the year 2000. Q: What more would you like to achieve in your current job? I would like to achieve a greater understanding of a whole range of things but in particular Active Directory. Q: Where would you like to be in 10 years’ time? In ten years I would like to be in charge of my own successful company, I’m not sure if it will be something like Summit or completely different. But yeah I would like to be making more money and hopefully be married and driving a nice Porsche. |
